Default Searching for build info

Hi,

I just bought my first Porche, 1991 Yellow 930. The car is in pristine condition with only 39,000 miles. I'm trying to find out how many similar vehicles were produced and sold in 1991. Does anyone know the best source for this info?

Thanks

Sorry, there were no 930's built in 1991. In 1991 it would be a 965 (964 Turbo). 930's stopped being produced in 1989. In 1990 the 964 was the name of the 911, and also in 1990, porsche did not make a turbo at all. They resumed turbo production in the 965 form in 1991.

There's a lot of good books out there, but I find that a british magazine called G.T. Purely Porsche has all of this sort of info in it every month.

I'm not sure whether it's available in the States, but click on this link to go to the web site...G.T. Purely Porsche Magazine!

Why not post some pic's of your Porsche, then we might be able to find out exactly which one it is?

Hi 944Dream,

I have just found a new hardback book that has just been published. It's called "Porsche Data Book (The definitive reference to specifications & statistics)." The author is Marc Bongers and it's available from Haynes for £30.00 in the U.K., but there should be a link to a U.S. site on there somewhere!

It looks like just the book you are looking for?

Find a British publication "911" quarterly I think. It usually has a ten page summary at the end (same pages in every issue, near as I can tell) that lists all of the models and year offered, its a conveninet little summary.
