Default speedometer not accurate

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and to porsches. I just recently bought an 88 930 and I've never had so much fun driving a car before. My issue is that my speedometer is displaying a higher speed than what I'm actually doing. When I'm doing 120KM/H, it's displaying about 140KM/H. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Please reply with any suggestions.

Hi Poweron, welcome to the forum.

Are your wheels and tyres the standard size, or are they a larger or smaller diameter? This could cause incorrect speedometer readings.

Why not post some pic's of your Porsche in the gallery? I bet it's a beauty?
