Default stiff shifting '86

911 is new to me - how stiff is normal? got a 944 same vintage and 911 makes the '44 shifting feel like butter.. probably not a good comparison but seriously, any insight appreciated. Also, oil gauge seems to flutter a lot mostly on the low end between 2 and 6 range...moves up when accelerating/shifting. what should be expected? thanks very much.
