Default tire set-up for DE

Hello - im stuck, need some expertise / wisdom. My car is a 1998 911 carrera - I run fuchs, 16x8 on the rear and 16x7 on the front. Typical tire set-up is 205-55-16 front and 225-50-16 rear. Im looking to change to race performance tires - i like the kuhmo track tires and Michelin pilot sport cups among others - here inlies the problem - only yok makes a 205-55-16 -(reviews suck) every other brand worth considering starts their 16" at 225-50-16. so, will a 225-50-16 fit on my 911 that has been lowered to euro spec w/o rubbing? Will this set up require a spacer? Will i need to roll the front fender? Next - in the rear - do i go w/ 225-50's in the back - having the all 4 tires the same? or, do i go w/ the 245-24-16? Same questions, will they rub, spacer required, roll the fenders??? i talked w/ tire rack - they have no clue - they suggested i go back to 15's!!! HELP - i need 3 seconds off my road america best ,,,,, Joel

Yes, a 225 will fit on a 7" rim without rubbing. I am assuming you mean 1988 911 since you are talking about fuchs. I'd go with 245's on the rear, the more rubber on the track the better.
