Default Tires for a 911 (993)

Well here is a topic that will start some arguments im sure.
Im due to get some new tyres for my 993. Most of the driving I am doing is around the city and occasionally take it on the freeway. I want a tyre that handles the wet (thou I don’t go in the wet often) and is pretty quiet.
Currently I have FIRENZA on the front and back thou the front has good treed so at the moment I will just get some rear tyres. Does anyone have an opinion on FIRENZA or recommend another tyre ?

I've got Michelin Pilot Sports and have been very happy.

I think if I were just replacing the rears, I'd stick with what's on the front. I like to have all four match..

Fremont Porsche recommended the Michelin Pilot Sport Rib for my 911 Carrera Cabriolet. After reading the reviews and talking to other Porsche owners, I think Michelin is the way to go so I'm getting a set of four with a 20% off coupon[sm=smiley20.gif]

Where did you get the 20% off coupon from? I need to get a couple of back tires within about 5k miles and I really like my Michelin Pilot Sports

My new shoes, (4) Michelin Pilot Sport Rib (front 225/40/18, rear 285/30/18) plus an alignment. With only 50 miles on them, here is my brief review.Excellent traction, reduced noise level over my Perelli's. On my cornering, the car doesn't drift in the rear. It handles the turns with little effort. With only 50 miles on them, there is not too much to write. When I put more miles on them, I will present a more detailed review [sm=gears.gif]

They look great. Be interested to hear what you have to say after a few miles.
