Hi Guys I am having an issue with my 1975 911 while shifting. I am unable to get the car to shift into 1st or second unless i fight with it for a while. Downshifting has also been a issue from 3rd into second. I think it could either be my shift linkage or my syncros are worn. Have any of you had a similar issue? I am able to get the car to shift into gear periodicallybut as I said I have to fight with it. If my transmission needs to be repaired what should I expect to pay for this work if I pull the tranny myself. Is this a common issue with these tannies?

 

I suspect that your Synchros are worn. If you double de clutch does this help?
Whats the wear/adjustment state of the clutch too?
