Default Trunk button on key unlocks both trunk and doors??

When I press the trunk open button on my key for a 2004, 996 cab, it also unlocks the doors. Is this what is meant to happen or do I have some kind of short?

thanks,

Simon

Just picked up a new 997 S and love the car however the remote unlock that you are talking about annoys me as well. Another thing that I really don't like is when you lock the car the horn doesn't make a short "beep" letting you know the car has in factlocked, it just flashes the rear taillights. Kind of hard to seewhen the sun is shining.

Has anyone found some sort of Porsche/aftermarket software upgrade that will allow customizing the lock/unlock features? I kind of remember seeing this somewhere however I can't remember where.
