Default Trying to find out what this car is worth....

I am the proud part owner of a 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo (930). I own the car with my wife's best friend who is going through a divorce. I don't know anything about Porsches but have been told there was a very small number of these imported to the US that year, maybe around 50? Any validity to that? The car is white with blue interior and is in perfect condition inside and out with 40,200 miles. I am going to help her sell it soon and I'm just trying to get her the best she can get out of it to get on her feet. Any idea what it's worth? Thanks in advance for the help!!

25-30k depending on the condition. Not a rare car unless it is a slant nose, of which 87 came to the US. There were around 1,158 930's to the US in 1987.

Thanks. That's exactly the kind of info I need. Anyone else have any opinions on it?

Well, yeah. I have an opinion. It is you have a serious problem but it has nothing to do with the value of the car. You're involved in a mess butyou alreayd know that.

Car is worth maybe $28K or so. The problem you will have in this economy is finding someone with $28K cash who is willing to part with tha for your car.

Good luck though. Some of these situations are really unpleasant.

Well, I guess I don't consider it too much of a problem or mess trying to help out a friend. But yes, it will take a little of my time (which I already don't have enough of) but that's what you do sometimes to try to help people. Hey, I'm not on a hurry and can do without the moneyfor a while if need be. Who knows, maybe I'll even drive it some and learn to like it!

Thanks.
