Mark, Where do you live?? Some states only have 6 characters while others have 8.. I chose ARDF on a New York Vietnam Veteran plate.. It stands for "Airborn Radio Direction Finding" which is what I did in Vietnam..

I had one on the 'vette I loved: LOWTENS it would do 10.2s to 9.95s in the quarter on street tires. But most people read it as "low tennis" Oh, geez! Good luck.

The problem with a plate that advertises the car's performance provacatively plate (U LOSE, R8CER) is that you invite people to race you. Beyond that fact that this gets annoying (and excites some cops), is that you will get beat, often, if you take on challenges.A stock turbo will get its *** handed to it by a lot of modified stuff out on the street, and the unwritten rule (among those with serious cars) is leave the other guy alone unless he provokesyou, which a plate like that will be interpreted to do: cars you don't even notice normally will see you (you are in a Porsche!), and then when they see the plate, they will challenge you.

Whenmy son is out cruising in his Camaro, he loves nothing better than to bait 996 and997 Turbos: almost none turn down a brief five second street race: it is hard to miss the roll cage and the aftermarket wheels and exhaust, but the owners don't expect to lose to a Camaro (the car can put 20 lengthes on a stock turbo in the 1/4).

I prefer fun plates like OHYEAH. When I ordered my Aston, back before Ford sold it, I was going to get BESTFORD, sinceAM was then at the top of the Ford food chain. Now, I'm thinking of either WORK4M or OWEIT2Q, both James Bond connections, the second one a reference to the line in one of the early movies where Q says "try to bring it back in one piece, double oh seven," But I kinda like "NOT BOND"
