Default 1980 928 with fuel problem

Hi
Hope someone can help. Ive just purchased a 1980 928 which is currently at my local garage with a fuel problem
The garage tell me that there is too much pressure to the fuel injection system about 7bar.
The problem is that although the car starts fine and drives ok as soon as it reaches 2000rpm is pulls back loosing power.
The garage have also told me that the fuel pump rear right of the car is new but cannot confirm if it is a genuine porsche one.

Has anyone else had problems like this and is there a faullt checklist or flowchart I could possibly give them to help assist the garage.,

Many thanks

Further to this it looks like there is crud int he fuel return pipe back to the tank and also crud in the fuel distributor.
I am presuming that the distributor is just the top crown of the injection unit not the whole unit?

Get the part number from the pump, and you might want to have the entire fuel system cleaned out too.

With the part number we can tell you if it is the right one or not.
