I'm in northern California right now and decided to buy my dream car a 928 and sell the old 944. I'd like to know what kind of gas mileage does that V8 get and should I buy a fixer upper for cheap. I have found 3 928's for sale in my city already but they all need alot of work. 1500 for an 80 928 that wont pass smog, 2000 for a 80 needs fuel pump and 2000 for a 79 needs paint job and body repair.

 

There is NOTHING cheap about a 928. The parts are VERY expensive, and the cars are quite hard to work on in general.
