Help. Selling an 89 928 s4
Im new to these forums, and looking for some advice before I sell a family friend's Porsche.
Im fairly knowledgeable about most cars and their values, except lacking some in some of the Porsche models.
What I will be selling is a 1989 Porsche 928 s4:
Car is still in the original family from purchase.
It is near perfect condition with only 36k miles.
A local detail shop called it the nicest 928's they have seen.
It is a light blue with dark blue leather interior (I believe. Havent seen the car in a few years so im not totally positive)
All maitainence has been done and it has always been stored in a garage.
I checked KBB and it quoted the cars value as $14,045 from a private party, which seems rediculously low. Ive checked around a little bit on ebaymotors, but still haven't come up with a solid price for what this thing will go for.
Any input or help is appreciated. Hopefully I can get some pictures up in a few days or so.

RE: Help. Selling an 89 928 s4
A coupleof reasons that 928 prices usually are low is(1) the Porsche purist never really accepted the 928,and (2) The cost of parts is usually much higher then the 911. I think most Porsche owners will agree that the price of the 928 will not match a comparable911...
The 928 was a great car that never was fully appreciated.

I would say the $15k mark is about right for this car. Would love to have this car, an 89 S4 oh yea!
The cost for repairs are higher, but if you want a Caddy ride with a Corvette launch with that gold and black badge on the hood... its 928 baby!
