high idle speed

Default high idle speed
my 928 just started idling at 1000 - 1200 rpm all the time. I have cleaned the intake, and made sure the throttle cables were not caught. What else can I check to solve this annoying issue??Also, how hard is it to change a valve cover gasket? This is the 1988 928S4 withautomatic
