Default 1983 944 shuts down

I have been having problems with my 944 motor shutting down while driving it. Can't really tell anything is different other than the alternator light comes on when motor shuts down. There are times I can just keep coasting and it will kick over and keep running or I can just pull over and re fire it. I have checked all battery connections as suggested, but no luck.......anyone have other suggestions???
Thanks

I would change out your fuel pump relay.

Thanks. I will try that this weekend. When I get this complete I will let you know if this did the trick. This problem started random, just everynow and than when I would drive it. It seems now that it will happen at least once, sometimes more, each time I drive it.

Doc,
That relay seems to do the trick. I've only had it out a couple of times, but like I said earlier, it got to stopping on me everytime I drove it. Thanks for the great advice.

Welcome! That darn relay likes to go bad, and I even carry a spare in my glovebox.

I carry a spare in the car, too. Good insurance.
