Default 83 losing juice, HELP!

My 83 944's battery keeps dying after I drive it even once. It started slow and now its a real problem. I've already checked the Alternator and its fine. I talked to another guy with a 944 and he is having the same problem. anyone who can help me narrow down the problem is greatly appreciated. thanx

Sounds like your battery is shot. Have you tested it yet?

naturally that was the first thing I checked, the battery is brand new and in working order(except for constantly being drained and charged again can't be great on it) any other Ideas?

Sorry if you thought I was being a smart a$$, but I learned a long time ago not to assume things when offering advice over the internet.

Under normal circumstances, I'd grab a volt-ohm meter and measure the dc voltage across the battery terminals first. With the car turned off, it should read around 12v dc, with the car turned on, it shoul dread around 13.8v dc if everything is working okay. Assuming it is, then I would turn the car off and start looking for current drain by pulling the fuses one at a time until you find the circuit thats draining the battery. At the rate your battery seems to be draining tho, I'd take a second look at your battery. New ones can go bad too. I need more info to give a better diagnosis, tho, so take this as "helpful suggestions" , not "gospel".

Regards,
