Default 944 and Ethanol 10% Gas

Hi all

I have a question about using 10% ethanol gas in these cars. I just happen to live in Oregon and there is a Mandate to use 10% Ethanol in all Gas sold starting in about a month. So regualr non-ethanol gas will no longer be available for purchase. I know these cars were not really designed to run on this. What are the implications and potential problems of running on 10% ethanol Gas? I heard that the fuel filter will have problems (in fact I think mine is clogged now), is this from the Ethanol being somewhat hydroscopic leading to water in the tank, or from the ethanol sturring up gunk that may have settled on the bottom of the tank, or something else. Anything else that might go out early or not work at all? Any advice or opinions on that??

Thanks alots...

You will be just fine running 10% ethanol.

I've never used it in my 911, but it works fine in my Toyota 4 Runner.
