Default 944 Window Motor replacement

I've been looking around for a guide to 944 window motor replacement but haven't found anything. On my '88 944 it seems pretty straightforward to remove the motor - there are three mounting points: 2 are removable with 10mm socket, but the third is a phillips head screw that I can't get to unless I use a right angle drive. I've tried using the right angle drive, but the screw isn't coming out, and I'm wondering if I'm really removing this thing correctly. Does anyone know of a replacement procedure for just the window motor? Does the entire regulator have to come out as well?

The replacement motor has the electrical plug on top instead of on bottom as the original unit. Kind of threw me off, but has anyone run into that?

You need to pull the entire regulator out of the door, then you can replace the motor.
