Default Best place to get new CV axle assemblies??

I developed a clicking from the driver rear wheel and upon inspection discovered that I need to replace the whole thing. Does it get any better than Pelican Parts $306??

Try Auto Atlanta or German Auto Dismantlers. Pelican Parts is a good resource but these two will definitely give you a lower price.
Good luck,

Any reason to not get the used ones? Both of 'em shipped from german auto dismantlers run about half what my local shop quoted me for 1 new.

As long as the joints are in good shape, you can probably get away with used. You can also buy the entire axles from oreillys or autozone for fairly cheap (I can't remember exactly which auto parts store it is, but one of them had a really good deal with a lifetime warranty).

As far as German Auto Dismantlers go, they're cheap, but they kill you on shipping. I ordered a bunch of hardware for my door panels from them, it was like a $30-$32 order, and they charged me $18 for shipping on a bunch of hardware! That was the only place I could get the hardware from so I went with it. Also, it took them a month and a half to get it to me. I guess I probably should have told you that, sorry. I wouldn't worry about the quality or the condition the part is in though, it should be fine.
Hope that helps.

I called to place my order and the guy said it would ship today or tomorrow and shipping was only $12 for an axle. We'll see what it looks like when it gets here

When I need parts that don't require the mandatory dealer gouging I like to deal with Autohaus Arizona. They carry parts that if not genuine Porsche(or other marques) are at least from the OE suppliers. They list the CV joint/boot kit for $88. I prefer new joints since the Turbo cars like to eat worn joints quickly. Check them out, they tend to have pretty decent prices IMO.
