BREAKS
Hey i was wondering what kind of breaks would be best with the mods i am planning on doing. I am getting a V8 conversion kit on my 84 944 and I need to kow what breaks would work best. I am getting 18in Kahn wheels if that matters, well thanks for the help!
If you are going 18" go all out with the Big Red conversion kit. It will only adapt after a 17" or higher wheel replacement but its a 6 valve (all around) as opposed to the 2X4 like we have. This gives your 944 the same rotors and calipers the 996 has. For the kit most dealers can tell you where to order them; the rotors and calipers purchased at your dealer, or online (I went NOPI.) But pads are up to you. I chose EBC's "Red Stuff."
I did some research on this a while back, here’s the thread:

If you run a good semi-metalic pad there shouldn't be a dust issue. Hence why I choose EBC pads. As long a you spend a decent amount there should be no problem, just don't go too cheep. And know you product beforehand.

The word is BRAKES, BREAKS is what 944s do on a regular basis.
