Default DME Relay

I bought a new dme relay off e-bay for 25.00. I put it in and it fixed my no start problem. Now 165 miles later - same problem.I put my jumper wires back in and it started right away. Anyone else had this problem or did I just get a bad relay? Thanks, Milo

Possible bad relay (I hope it was new since you paid 25 bucks for it). Was it the updated 993 part number?

It could also be bad reference sensor wires, and just coincidence that it started when you swapped the relay out.

Yes, it was new. It is marked uro parts ,12v, max.15 /A, >PA6-GF 30<. I heard the fuel pump kick on when I plugged the jumper wires in. I couldn't hear it before. Seems like it idles better with the jumpers in. Thanks, Milo

Well I ordered another one for 25.00. The seller says this one is manufactured by Stribel. I'll see what happens this time, Milo

I have the same problem. I just replaced my relay and it fixed my problem. Today I drove across town to get some keys made, and it wouldn't start at the key shop. I reached under the dash and moved around the DME relay and it started up. I'm wondering if the connections to the relay are wore out. Can you drop the whole relay panel down? Does all the wiring looms plug into the back of the relay and fuse panel?
Is it common for the connections to the relays to open and not make good contact?
Im thinking something is loose in the ralay panel somewhere, I guess I just need to take the seat out and crawl in there and see if I can drop the panel..
