Default exhaust sound

Hi guys, ive got the stock exhaust system on a 83' N/A. Which sections of the exhaust should I remove or change to get a real good loud burble?

Shall i make the center section straight through or just change the back box?

Regards

Luke

[hr]Leave the stock exhaust alone.

You mess with it and you'll lose power and have a nasty, raspy exhaust note.

If you want to brave, gut the catalytic converter.

Yup, no real gains to be had by doing exhaust work on an NA, other than making it really loud and annoying. You can gut the cat like willard said, which will give it a little more aggresive sound, but do not cut it out and replace it with a straight pipe. You can change the muffler to a magnaflow, which is a straight through design like the stock muffler, but you really aren't gaining anything by doing so, as the exhaust note is fairly similar.
