Default Flowmaster muffler?

Hello, i have a 1984 N/A 944 and im looking into putting a new exhaust system on. i was just curious if anyone knew of any good but not too expensive mufflers? i was thinking a 50 series delta flow or an 80 series Flowmaster. Thanks for the suggestions.

Magnaflow is probably the best muffler for the application. It is a straight through muffler, just like stock. Flowmaster is somewhat restrictive. You will gain nothing by changing mufflers besides a change in tone. You can't get less restrictive than the stock muffler.

if you go with the aftermarket exhaust, just make sure the exhasut tip extends to at least the rear bumber, if not the sound will resonate on the underside of the car and will be loud as hell inside, I know because I made the same mistake and this is what it was. Gut your catalytic converter while your at it, to help it exhale a little better.
