Default Hatch Frame/Seal Problem

How you guys doing? I just got a 86 Porsche 944 and noticed that my hatch was leaking. After some troubleshooting and attemps of washing my car I noticed that the frame and the window werent together. I saw it was a common problem for 944 and saw only 1 DIY to fix it which involved taking the hatch out prying out the frame and resealing it. Other than that is there another way to go about this problem? I was thinking of possibly using some universal windshield seals to mould onto the frame. Im currently trying to just put black silicon all over the frame and window to hopefully fix the problem. But any suggestions? Thanks

Default RE: Hatch Frame/Seal Problem

Sorry, but all the other fixes won't work. You need to seperate the frame and reseal it properly, or find a good used hatch (good luck, most are in this condition). I have done a writeup over on rennlist if you do a search.
