Default heater control valve

I was replacing the heater hose that goes from the heater control valveto theheater core and I knocked of a couple of vacuum lines loose next to where the hose connects to the heater core. One is coming from the heater control valve and the other I think is coming from the brakes. Does anyone know which line goes on the top. The heater control valve or the breakline?

Thanks

Default RE: heater control valve

I cannot give you an answer, but with the Engine running have both lines got a vacuum effect?Ie do they both have a suction on them. Normally the Heater Valve only gets vacuuum when you Switch the Heater Off, as the Vaccuum closes the Valve, to stop hot water going to the Heater Core. This may help you to figure out which is which.
