Default How do you remove 944 torsion bars?

Hello all,
I have a 1986 944 Turbo that is undergoing a MAJOR overhaul to a dedicated track-only car. I have a full Huntley coil-over conversion kit for it and realize I need to remove the torsion bars. Do I need any extra parts to run the suspension without the bars or do they simply "come out"?
The car is currently stripped to a bare shell and the rear suspension is out.
Anybody have experience with this?
Thanks

If you remove them, you want to upgrade the big spring plate bushings to delrin (paragon products carries these). Other than that, they just slide right out.
