Default Light Switch Issues

I recently had an issue with my 87 944 N/A. 3 wires became disconnected from the light switch. They are as followed:

1. Brown
2. Grey
3. Grey Green

On the back of the switch are are tiny little numbers corresponding with a hole, here are the numbers that are now missing a wire.

1. 31
2. 57
3. 58 (which has one there but it looks like 2 go there)

Now that this issue has happened. My headlights do not retract. The parking lights come on, but once I turn the **** to turn on the headlights, the parking lights turn off. Can some1 look on thier Lighting switch and tell me what wire goes were?

Have you got the later "oval" dash or the early style?

I have the Oval style. I kinda wish I didnt because the lighting switch on the earlier models seemed easier to understand.

According to the schematics, (31 is brown), (58 is Grey/Blue, Grey/red, Grey/black), and (57 is Grey/Green). There are 3 wires listed for 58, not two. Hope this helps.

Well then, that's saved me from dismantling mine for you, eh?

thanx alot guys, i ended up figuring it out also. 31: brown, 57: grey green, 58: grey and grey blue. my parking lights still didnt work, turned out the switch went bad and caused some major issue (the brown wire completly melted and literally feel apart. I had to replace the brown wire all the way to the fuse box. Then went and bought a new switch and it works perfectly. Only this is my headlights do not retract...... it really bothers me, im going to assume its the relay..... I remeber some time ago the headlights would go up and down if i drove the car for awhile. So I assume its the relay, infact im praying its the relay, because that dam motor costs 219 dollars. Tomorrow the Porsche place I get my parts from will have the relay in, so im crossing my fingers.

PS: if there were 3 for 58 then i dont know what happened to the grey black one. what was it for? I really hate that I got this car from a dumb a** that didnt know what the hell he was doing, or just didnt care. Im having to repair so much..... but in the end it will be worth it, i hope. I'll have a unique car that you wont see all over the place like most other cars.

You know, I didn't really pay attention when I was reading the diagrams, I may have been reading a "euro" skematic. I thought of that later. Their lighting of course is different, so maybe that is why there were 3 wires.
