Default Location of oil pressure sending unit

Hi,

My oil pressure always reads above 5 along with my voltage meter always reading very high. took the whole dash apart and all is good (changed dash lights) but when not plugged in they are on the bottom, when plugged in they are all the way up. All the other gauges work great. Any ideas, location of the sending units?

Its a 1986 944 NA

Thanks,
Eddie

More than likely a bad sending unit. It is located the the passenger side of the engine, just below the oil filter housing (it actually screws into the oil filter/oil cooler housing). There are 2 wires going to it.

What is the volt meter showing? If both gauges are giving incorrect readings it could be the connector on the back of the cluster.
