That is cool.

If I get mine running I plan to paint.

I have a 1988 dark blue 944. I was thinking doing bright red. (only bad thing I see so many that color)

What colors were available in 1988?

The Silver Rose Metallic (Silberrosa) L M3Z sounds cool

Is there a web site somewhere that would display a sample?

Given a black over tan interior and dark blue now, what would you recommend?

Good idea of painting car. Such kind of paint will make big impact on look of your car. That will be long lasting as well as nice looking. There are so many advantages of primer paint before painting.
