Found this site and just thought i'd say hello. I have an 84 porsche 944. The engine is stock and I'll keep it that way to pass cali smog. My car is always track driven...

I've done a lot to this car. Some major things are 86 944 Interior upgrade.


88 Turbo rear trailing arm upgrade.



Recaro SRD seats, Sparco Steering wheel, Roll Bar, Koni Shocks ...custom stereo system, Sach Power clutch....




If you guys have questions I can do my best to answer. Seems like there are quite a few knowledgeble people on here already.

So many people told me don't buy a 944, they junk. Sell your 944 etc. I made my car into what I wanted and it's one of the best cars i've ever driven. Very fun at the track and handles excellent. If you love the 944 get one. It's an investment but places like Parts Heaven and EASY help you get parts cheap.

welcome. quick question though. i wasn't aware that sachs made more than one type of clutch for the n/a. i believe they only had the updated sprung hub insted of the rubber center am i correct? what do you mean by the sachs power clutch? thanks

 

It's a damn good clutch. I snapped the original rubber one in half. since I drift my car i'm constantly clutch kicking and burning out. still feels strong after 4 yeas of use (knock on wood).

Sachs Part # 3000 961 201 is the power clutch kit. Performance part # is 881878541
