Default shifting

hey new to the forum and i just got my 944 a couple of days ago. are all 944's hard to shift? i changed the transmission oil but that didn't really make a difference

No, they should shift very smoothly.

yea. there must've been some gunk in one of the cables or something because it worked itself out and is shifting very smoothly now.

hey i was wondering how you get yours to shift smoothly? im going to change the transmission oil tomorrow so would that help lot like you did?

i didnt really do anything. i changed the transmission oil and just drove around and it eventually started loosening up. but i kno that if you shifting is notchy changing the oil will help
