Default Speaker Replacement

Anyone have any first hand experience as to what size speakers will fit in the rear? I've read here that you can fit larger ones in there. Just wondering what mods need to be made and what's the largest size that will fit back there. Thanks!

Take a look on Clarke's Garage - I think there is some information there about speaker replacement.

Rear speakers are 4x6. If you do some metal trimming in the body, you can fit a 6" round or a 6x9. Replacing the rear speakers will involve removing the rear quarter windows, then the trim panels, then you will be able to see the speaker.

I managed to replace mine without removing the rear window. Remove all the screws, door rubber etc, then carefully pull the panel back. Use a stubbie or right angle screwdriver to remove the speaker screws.

There is quite a lot of room behind that panel, so bigger speakers can be fitted.

Check out this link....Click Here!!! (You my need to register as a member before this link will work?)

Good luck!

I fitted 6inch in mine! (To do this, you have to remove the metal plate and make up a new one to fit out of M.D.F. board!)
