Default 944 speaker install

Hi, I'm new here and I'm trying to figure out how to replace the rear speakers. I'm not sure how to take apart the panels is what I'm really asking because it looks like the panels go into the window part and I don't want to end up destroying my car. So does anybody have a little DIY write up on how to get the panels off? pics would help too!

You actually have to remove the rear windows to get to the rear speakers. One of those jobs that just isn't worth it. My rears have been out for years, and I just don't feel like doing window work if I don't have to.

if there is a way w/o removing it, i'd like to know because I really dont' want to pay a shop to do it. Have anybody done rear speakers on the 944 before?

I've just done this job myself. If you want to remove the panel, you do need to remove the window, but it's very easy to replace the speaker without removing this panel. There's a good amount of room behind there too, so you can fit quite big speakers!
