WARNING LIGHT QUESTION

Ok, I have an 84 944 that came with a 83 owners manual(was built in sept 83).The question is, on the center dash console i have the typical layout of gauges and warning lights but i'm unable to identify one of the warning lights in a 3-light cluster thats on the right side opposite of the fog-light.It's a circle with 3 dash's on either side of circle. This light came on breifly the other day but has since turned off.My manual does not list this warning light and I want to make sure i'm not disregaurding something critical.
Thanks alot...Mc.

RE: WARNING LIGHT QUESTION

I believe that this is the brake pad sensor warning light. Changing pads should do the trick. But be careful when doing it, I have an 84 too and when the old pads came out, the sensor popped off the wire and it was a pain in the rear getting them to stay back in place. The lights didn't go off immediatley after changed but a few days and no more lights :D

RE: WARNING LIGHT QUESTION

Yup, brake pad sensor. You need to replace the sensors when you do the pads as well. The other trick is to just cut the sensors off an inch past the connector to the main harness and solder the wires together to kill the light (You still need to put in new pads).
