Default 06 in the snow

just put a downpayment on a boxster (06) with tiptronic and standard 17 wheels. Any opinions on good tires for winter/snow? I'm expecting delivery in January, so I have some time...

Am I the only one who is considering turning the ignition if the temperature drops below 65 F with relative humidty being about 50%? I mean, it's still a well-built car, right? The temperature in Germany isn't always a sunny california day, right...?

Thank you for your reply. I was beginning to think I was a little crazy. I've been to a few forums and the way some people talk, they take a shower, have a physical, clean their teeth and undergo UV irradiation before they enter a room adjacent to a Porsche. I've been told by the dealer that the Boxster can be a fun car in the winter, once equipped with proper winter tires, etc. Granted, I'm not thinking of plowing any driveways, but... I appreciate your comment.
