Default accidentally over revving the new engine

i have accidentally got the gear into manual while on standstill and when trying to get going again, rev the new engine up till 7000 - 8000 rev on first gear. i am afraid that the engine will be damaged or affected as it is still in its running in stage. the engine has only 500 km on it.

any body has any experience or view on this?? please help.

Default RE: accidentally over revving the new engine

engine should be fine. It should have bounced off the rev limiter, which is much less than 8k rpms.
