Default Battery problems

OK cut this new guy some slack, sorry BOBTHEBUILDER for posting my problem on your topic befor I figured this out. In short battery is sometimes dead sometimes not. Replace battery twice, holds charge for weeks not hooked up but once hooked up it might go dead over night or might last three or four days, using the car or not. I removed the trunk lights no change, dealer no help, can someone tell me a plane for tracing this problem down. It's an 01. Thanks so much

Default RE: Battery problems

Duane,

I am not sure if this will helpbut it might help eliminate an upcomming electrical problem which may or may not cause a
continual drain on the battery.. Under the drivers seat on the floor is mounted the alarm pc board in a plastic box and if you ever had water on the floor from leaves and debris blockin thedrain holes in the back -can be found when the top is half down you may have corrosion on the board which could put a continual drain on the battery. Well it is thefirst electical f - up I have experienced on myboxter in 8 yrs of having her. You can nip this in the bud by making sure the ware drains from the
drain holes and possibly sealing up the box that contains the pc board which acording to the dealer costs over 500.00 dollars.
Good Luck

Dave
