Default Bent rotor backing plate

Hey so I went over a large bump at night i didn't see and the backing plate for my rear rotor started rubbing, I tried straightening it, but no luck really. I was wondering if I can just take it off, and will it harm anything if I do? Also the lower ball joint on the rear looks weird. between the control arm and the boot, i can see part of the stud, i tried tightening it but it's tight as hell, i'm thinking maybe the shop didn't tighten it all the way and thats where its sitting now, just need to know how to get it all the way through, it's about an 8th of an inch showing, but I still want this sorted out. All help is appreciated, thanks.
