Default boxster lettering on back hatch

i have just purchased a 2006/7 boxster and realised that mine misses the lettering "boxster" on the back hatch. i was wondering whether this is common or they've been removed?

Probably it was removed, since the car came from the factory with it. Some people de-badge the cars for a cleaner look and many dealers will do it gratis is asked by the original buyer. The dealer or the aftermarket can probably fix you up with new labels, or alternatives: I've seen custom labels such as "Poorshaa" and "My Car," etc.

They are also available at the dealer, and just stick on, so you can pick one up and put it on without a problem if you want it. Last time I checked they were under $50.00 IIRC.
