is it possible to turbo this little machine?im looking at trading my 1400hp drag mustang for a 99 just was wondering about power upgrades..seems like the car is small and that 6 should propel it pretty good.so all of you guru's let me know what kind of performance upgrades are around for this 2.5 monster.thanks don

I've been PM'ing bent valve, but just so others can see. We have a supercharger kit for the boxster 2.5L (working on the others), takes the power from 155hp at the rear wheels to 240 at the rear wheels, running 4-5psi boost. The motor's in the car are not built strong enough to dump loads of power in, without doing an entire engine rebuild. Most guys go with GIAC flash for the ECU, air intake, and exhaust and call it a day. That is about all you can do cheaply. You could build the motor up if you wanted, which would be very very costly, and with the supercharger run more boost for power, but you are going to be over the value of the car very quickly. You are better off stepping into a used 996TT for 50-60k, and put the power to that.

Just interested. What type of Mustang? What else have you done (i.e., with 1400 Hp its common to have tubbed wheel wells, locker rear axle, etc.. What does it do the 1/4 in?
