Question Convertible top replacement

I am looking at replacing my convertible top on my 2002 Boxster. I see many being sold on eBay for about $400. Has anyone replaced their tops? I was just wondering if these would be as good as original, although some are listed for sale as OEM. I am just worried that the replacement might not be as good as new. I would like to hear some comments on people who have had this done.

Default Convertible Repair and Replacement

I am the owner of a '99 911, that was vandalized several years ago and resulted in me replacing the convertible roof. I obtained a roof from the local porsche dealer who said he could not install it. They told me that installation required a certain tool that they did not have. So, I located a shop with the tool and took it to them. They installed the roof and used the tool which heat sealed the plastic window into the new roof. Roll the clock forward 4 year and the window surround is seperating form the roof. The installer tells me that the zipper in the roof failed and it is a common problem with this roof replacement. I am now in the process of going back to the dealer and trying to get them to stand behind their roof an replace it. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is the installer correct when he says that the roof is flawed.

It's original Porsche Boxster hardtop. No hardware required the car is already equipped to have one put on. Fit like a glove the first time. Takes about 1 min to install. It looks awesome, inside and out, even has a rear window defroster if you need to use it. No regrets buying it. Only thing is sometimes I like to drive with the top down and it's a bit of a chore. But I keep it on 90% of the time. The summer sun is just to hot!
