i got a 98 boxter and its got some noises coming out of the engine. i took it into the dealership today and they told me it might be the timing chain rollers . the noises are audible around 2500 rpm and sounds like a cluttering sound and also a constant air hissing sound. any ideas what it could be before i have the engine taken a part

Without being able to see the car in person and hear what is going on, it is hard to say. The dealer probably knows what they are talking about Good luck.
