Default seat swap question

hey gang. i'm new to the board and thought i'd jump right in with a question...........wondering if anyone has swapped out seats from manual to full power. i have both sets. the passenger seat plugged in and works, the driver seat does not. the new seats are (2002+) and have the memory module (black box) - my original seats (1999) do not. It sure seams like the harness in the car would mate up to any seat option but that doesn't seem to be the case. any help or insight would be very much appreciated. thanks. SGG

My guess is you just need to pin out power on the driver's side. Once it has constant power, then it should work just fine. Get out the test light and start checking things out.

Default RE: seat swap question

thanks for the reply. i can do some DIY projects but not too keen on tackling any wiring or re-wiring. my level of confidence/competance starts and stops at the plug end of the wire. i contacted ladismantlers and they are sending me a seat harness from an 02 that should mate up with the seats. i'm not sure what level of work then entails. i'll hope it's a simple plug in situation but i fear it's a splice in. a couple local shops turned down the work. conceptually it seems so simple - but then, i'm no mechanic either.
