Need some advice.....

I'm going to upgrade from my Z4 to a Boxster but not sure which model to go for/avoid. I don't want a top of the range model, just like I want to avoid a bog standard version. What would be the best model to get?

I would really try and get an S version then. The older generation of the boxster was the 986, and the newer generation is the 987 with updated body style. I would look at 986 3.2L S models, or a 987 2.7L non S model.
