I just bought a 2009 Cayenne with the factory trailer hitch. I need to put in a brake controller, but no one can tell me whether there is a factory pigtail to plug into the vehicle wiring near the steering column where the controller is located. Most pickups have a dedicated wiring pigtail that mates to the brake controller but Tekonoshia has no infor. Anybody know?

 

I have never looked, but I would find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have a factory plug there.

 

After looking into this more, it appears that there is not a factory plug. There is a writeup on VWVortex on how to wire in a unit into a Touareg, which will be the same for the cayenne.
