Default 19 vs 18 inch wheels

I am looking at a 2011 cayman s but it has 19 inch wheels and am concerned re: ride quality. This will be my every day car and I drive a combination of freeway and city (San Francisco). Is there appreciable difference in ride quality for the 19's vs 18's? I could only test drive the cayman vs the cayman s with 18's while the S i test drove had 19's and in the short time I drove the cars, had a hard time feeling any difference

I drive a Boxster S, have both sizes of tires. The 18" is a softer ride, but the 19" gives a better performance and better hug of the road. I like the 19" personally.
