Other upgrades included an energy management system, thermostats and control sensors at the library. The total cost of the project was $600,000 and was completely covered by a federal grant.
The city estimates that it will save $750,000 in 10 years. Chevron estimated that the city will save $80,000 per year over a period of 10-12 years.
