Default 996 Audio Upgrade - Help Needed

I have a 996 with the basic audio package (no HIFI). What is the easiest way to modestly upgrade the audio? I am not looking for anything fancy, the factory system is plenty loud. Just looking for higher quality Bass as it gets distorted when the volume is in the mid to high range. Any suggestions on speaker upgrades. I don't care to replace the head unit unless required (I actually prefer the 'Factory" look)

Thanks!

I have a great solution listed in the parts for sale section. Give it a look.

For the best SQ remove the factory head unit. As fare as speakers I really like the sound of Hertz ML165. You need a shop that understands how to make a porsche sound good. If you really are goin to upgrade let me know an Ill tell you how to do it.

There are several solutions, arranging from replacing the head unit to keeping the head unit and upgrading the speaker package. i have done several on my website. I will try to update when I can the site, but time doesn't allow me to play around too much.
