We're looking at a late 80s, early 90s model for my husband.

The catch, it must have a back seat with shoulder belts for our kids. They are almost 8 & 5, so they still need booster seats which don't allow lap belt usage. They are both too tall for most car seats that would allow lap belt installs, and the lack of a tether point rules out any higher weight seats.

From what I can tell online, this might only be in the 944 model, but I still cannot figure out what year it switched. We've driven a 1987 928, lap belts only in the back and a 1985 944, lap belts only in the back.

Any help would be appreciated or at least knowing which models stand a chance at having what we need.

I can't recall 100% but i don't think the 944 got shoulder belts in the rear until maybe 1989.
