Default C4 burning rubber

Hey - My 2001 C4 (36K) smells like burnt rubber (rear tires) after even a short drive. Is this a common problem? Is this something a tire/alignment shop can fix or does it require Porsche services? I'm new to the Porsche club..

Default RE: C4 burning rubber

Could be tires out of alignment, could be the serpentine belt starting to slip. Typically there is a small hint of rubber smell after a short drive. The cars tend to have a lot of negative camber in the rear, which leads to rear tires about every 10k miles. That could be part of the smell.
