Hi, when i open the door on the drivers side door the window drops down but when i come to the close the door its alresdy up in the close position causing it to hit the roof. Has anyone got any suggestions to remidy this problem. By the way the passenger door is working fine. Thanks Dave

 

Hi. So when you put your hand on the door handle the window drops down about a half inch.
At what point does the window return to to its fully closed position? Is it when you release the handle after pulling the door open?

Hi Big Bob, Yes the window comes down a 1/4 inch when i pull either the interier or the exterier handle but comes straight back up as soon as i release either handle. Any suggestions

It sounds likethe Widow Lift Motor is operating OK. Do the interior lights etc come on when you open the door?
There must be a signal from this "Door Open Switch" operated by the Door being "Open" or "Closed" that tells the Door LiftMotor to stay whereit is until the Door Closes, when power returns to the Door LiftMotor to complete the close action of the window. Does that make sense? I know what I mean but its difficult to describe.
I would check out the switch that is activated when you open the door, that switches on the interior lights etc.

Thanks Bob, I'll check it out in the morning. What i do know is that the interior light does come on as soon as the door is opened.
